Captain Kamrul Islam Mazumder has been inducted as Director & Chief Operating Officer (Off-Dock) of Summit Alliance Port last month. He joined Summit Alliance Port Limited in 2009 as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Summit Alliance Port, Captain Mazumder was General Manager (Operation) of Maersk Bangladesh.
Captain Mazumder is alumni of Faujdarhat Cadet College, graduated from the Bangladesh Marine Academy and attended Master Mariner examinations in Liverpool, England. He began his sea career in Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, later moving to a Hong Kong based company followed by starting his shore based career with Maersk Bangladesh in January 1997.
